Estimator Position

As a division of Foremost Universal LP, Brahma Compression is part of a rapidly growing company with over $220 million in annual sales and 700 plus employees across Alberta. Since 2001, Brahma has manufactured and sold over 900 compressor packages and operates a full service department located across Western Canada.

Job Description: We have an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Estimator in our Calgary Sales and Manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager this position will provide support to the Sales and Manufacturing departments dealing with a variety of gas compression projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reviewing all customer tenders and proposals in preparation of a formal quote
• Participate in the project scope review to determine selection and sizing of components required for the project
• Source with suppliers specific components required for the project and determine pricing and delivery as required
• Prepare estimates of costs of materials and equipment required for the project
• Establish delivery times in cooperation with the manufacturing division
• Liaise with sales department and manufacturing to ensure timely delivery of components to meet customer delivery schedule
• Liaise with customer as required on specific design and materials details related to the project

Qualifications:

• Previous Estimating experience in the natural gas compression industry a definite asset
• Previous Estimating experience in a manufacturing environment
• C.E.T. certification an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of industry and products
• Attention to detail, analytical skills and accuracy
• Proficiency using MS Office software programs
• Exceptional interpersonal skills both written and verbal
